An original story told by Jackson--
"Once upon a time there was a little girl.
(you see the little girl outside, Mommy?)
She was trying to run away.
Then her mommy caught her and gave her spankings.
Ouchy, ouchy, ouchy.
Then they saw some snakes.
(you see the snakes?)
The snakes came in the house,
and everybody was yelling 'Owie, owie, you're hurting my hand!'
The end."
J: "You like that story, Mom?"
Me: "Yes, very much."
J: "Ohhhhh-tayyyyuh." (very proud of himself)
J: "See, I tell the story and I didn't break your book." (I had asked him not to tear the pages)
Me: "Yes, Jackson, thank you. Time for your nap now."
J: "Otay, te ar-row ("te quiero"--spanish for i love you), I LUH you. No, don't come with me, I do it."
Me: "Alright, te quiero tambien, I love you too." (me staying in the bedroom and him running down the hall)
A few moments later, his door opens and shuts. Then quiet. Little brother still asleep.
Ahhhhh. Naptime for me too :).
